I remember when I first began noticing the green signs with the yellow lettering BP. All of a sudden they were everywhere. They were in plain sight, yet completely mysterious.
What did BP stand for?
Not being, a Wall Street type, I had no Idea BP stood for British Petroleum. And until a few days ago,I had no idea that the Chief Executive of BP, Lord Browne, was gay. Few people did in fact until they read it in the Daily Mail. He's resigned, reportedly, over lying about how he met his male companion.
Lord Browne said it was while exercising in a park. But, it's been revealed that it was through a website called suited and booted. I tried to see why that'd be so embarrassing but the website was down.
It seems that Lord Browne was on the down low. Perhaps, it was out of fear investors would bolt if word got out a homosexual had risen above the pink ceiling.
In the UK, when it comes to the office a great many gays and lesbians [up to half of them] are not out at work. They play it straight for the company.
