I'm not too ashamed to admit that I watched 'High School Musical' (#1) this weekend. It was fun, hysterically kitschy, and really sweet. Way more watchable for grown-ups than one might think. Well, at least gay grown-ups, for the aforementioned reasons. Oh yeah, and because, like Prince Gomolvilas so insightfully wrote on these pages last week, 'High School Musical' is chock full of gay.

In keeping with the weekend of getting in touch with my inner 13-year-old-girl, I also caught last night's 'Teen Choice Awards.' Check out this video from the opening number, a futuristic fantasy of how Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan and the gang will carry off touring 50 years from now in what will very likely still be the hugest and gayest Disney phenomenon of all time.

And DO NOT miss my bonus video find, a funny and très gay mash-up of none other than blue-eyed Zac Efron doing his best Julie Andrews as he runs through the hills singing the 'Sound of Music.' Life is good.
