World Aids Day 2008

World Aids Day
– Today is a day to remember and reflect and most of all a day to stand by the millions of people infected by this horrible disease. HIV/AIDS affects all of us and no one should close his or her eyes for this injustice.

AIDS is a pandemic. More than 33 million people worldwide live with the disease and already more than 2 million people died, including more than 300,000 children, our future. This also shows that this is not the disease of one community as still preached by so many. HIV/AIDS is ruthless and can still not be cured!

This is not just a third world disease and can affect any one of us. Even in a country such as Great Britain, 28 per cent of the people who have HIV don't even know they are positive.

Don't put yourself or any other person at risk. Get yourself tested and be safe!

Don't be a stranger, a hug or a kiss does not make you HIV+
