Music - Janet Jackson is back! After stealing the show at the AMA's (American Music Awards) last night with an 8-minute performance which included her brand new single 'Make Me', Janet is now set to score another hit album with the release of a new greatest hits compilation entitled 'The Best'.

Janet Jackson is one of the best-selling artists in contemporary music and has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. The release of this greatest hits album celebrates the career and artistry of one of the most successful and influential artists in music history.

Although the singles compilation 'Design Of A Decade', which sold over 10 million copies worldwide, was released in 1995 to celebreate ten years in the music industry, this is the first time that many of Janet's biggest hits have been released together. This 36 track album includes all of Janet's classics such as 'Rhythm Nation', 'Together Again' and 'The Best things In Life Are Free', as well as her new single 'Make Me'.

The new single was written and produced by Janet Jackson and Rodney Jerkins. Speaking at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Rodney said that he and Janet still have a lot more to offer. "We're going back to basics and fundamental sounds of Janet." He is hoping to make records that fans will embrace. "A lot of uptempo stuff makes you feel good. There's so many different colors of Janet. I'm a fan, I've always been a fan of Janet. The Rhythm Nation, the Control, the Janet. record ... those make you feel a certain way. It's been fun. I'm excited about it."
