Did I write laugh? No, I mean something bigger. I mean spit out your food and have your drink come up through your nose laugh. The fact that she loves and embraces the gays – men, women, MTF, FTM and everyone in between – makes me adore her even more.
Her new show, 'The Sensuous Woman,' currently playing off-Broadway's Zipper Theatre, is one of her most original and outrageous stage outings yet. For this go-round, she's joined by Los Angeles bellydance and burlesque sensation Princess Farhana, emerging transgendered comic Ian Harvie, the burlesque performer Selene Luna, comic actor Liam Sullivan as internet rock-star Kelly, internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer Ryan Heffington, New York downtown fave Miss Dirty Martini and sketch comedians Diana Yanez & Kurt Hall of the Gay Mafia Comedy Troupe of West Hollywood.
I was seriously excited to talk to Margaret. I found her to be candid, honest and flat-out cool. We talked about comedy, her love for the homos and trannies and the new show.
And for some reason I wanted her to get sorta dirty like only she can. Did she? Find out after the jump.

Matthews. You may have heard of her before, she's an openly lesbian comic who relates the absurd in everyday life in a witty anecdotal style. She's been featured on OutLaugh - The Best of Queer Comedy DVD , starred in the award winning film
I very much like Margaret Cho. Sometimes I even love her. She does have moments of comic brilliance but they are sometimes connected by long stretches of sophomoric and obvious humor that entertains but in my case mildly. She seems to be--I say seems to be because I really have no idea--badly managed and in need of better writers or at least more honest friends. "Sorry, Margaret, I saw that coming from a mile away. Try again."
FUCT is actually an up-and-coming comedy troupe that's just starting to get noticed by the New York underground comedy scene, even though they've been at it for years. They've also amassed an avid fan base for regularly featuring naked guys in original comedy sketches, all for the sake for a hearty belly laugh. These sketches are hysterical and sometimes torturous -- but in this case, that's a very good, very funny thing.
Not that I don't care at all about comic-y things, I do. I like super hero movies and have had plenty of fantasies about making sexy time with Batman (played by Christian Bale, duh!). I missed the opening episodes of 'Heroes,' so I'm not watching that and regret it. But at the end of the day, I like to read real books. (WHAT!? That line is going to generate hate mail??? Sorry, kidding!)
