Chamber of Secrets Now Open Wide (Queer Sighted)
Oct 22nd 11:09 AM: Thank you, Prince, for blogging about this today. This is so important, Ms. Rowling has no idea what gift she has given all of us by her simple declaration, "Dumbledore is GAY". Long after the fan base was secure, we now know that much more about one of these central characters...bless her!
What My Students Teach (Queer Sighted)
Oct 19th 3:23 PM: QUEER: (from wikipedia)
The word queer has traditionally meant "strange" or "unusual," but its use in reference to LGBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, asexual, etc.) communities as well as those perceived to be members of those communities has replaced the traditional definition and application. Its usage is considered controversial and underwent substantial changes over the course of the 20th century with some LGBT re-claiming the term as a means of self-empowerment. The term is still considered by some to be offensive and derisive, and by others as a re-appropriated term used to describe a sexual orientation and/or gender identity or gender expression that does not conform to heteronormative society.
Way to go, Wiki...

Old Gay Coots Have Something To Say, Dagnabbit! (Queer Sighted)
Oct 19th 7:29 AM: I just turned FIFTY this year. If the soul is like a gas tank, I'm low on patience. I share your cantankerousness, and I'm damn proud of it. Now pipe down and get out of my way, you freaks...oops, I dropped my gawdorn PILL CASE...HELP, I've Fallen and I can't get up........
"Reborn" In A Glass Closet (Queer Sighted)
Oct 18th 1:31 PM: I have said before elsewhere on this blog, that I had myself baptised against homosexuality at age 26, after being in a gay relationship. It didn't work. I'm still gay. I was always gay. These folks who claim to be ex-gay are destroying their souls with their fear and self-loathing. There is no such thing as ex-gay.
FOX News: Lesbians Keep The Boot Industry In Business (Queer Sighted)
Oct 17th 10:29 AM: Dear Richard - let me be one person to praise you with one side of my mouth while I curse you with the other side. I have said before in response to other posts about this topic, NO NO NO we must have an all inclusive law, everyone knows we won't come back fo those left behind for many decades, and that's not right. But I praise you for your strong opinion and your forum, because it's apparently creating a community that wasn't necessarily there before - the community of us who now REGULARLY think and feel about transgendered people. That's the best part of all this back-and-forth, for me. I KNOW about transgendered people now, they exist, I've read intelligent and thoughtful posts by quite a few transgendered people on various blogs, all in response to this issue. Thank you for being a place where we can all fight it out.
Now I need some really good make-up sex, from somebody...
They're Mad at the Governor--So He Must've Done SOMETHING Right (Queer Sighted)
Oct 17th 9:57 AM: Thank you for presenting the other side and letting us know about the new laws in California. It is concievable to me that many gay couples, armed with these newly defined laws, may yet successfully challenge the marriage ban in that state. I am hopeful for the first time in what seems an avalanche of bad news lately.
QueerSighted Debates ENDA: GLB or GLBT? (Queer Sighted)
Oct 15th 10:09 AM: We cannot exclude transgendered people and call it a victory of any kind, should the bill become law. In many ways, in our community the transgendered people are the weakest in terms of political power, and we, the rest of the LGB community, need to hold them up with us, not leave them in the dust like so many would do to the rest of us. Look how many people in our community discriminate against bisexuals...imagine the backlash if we excluded people who identify as bisexual. NO NO NO...it's time that EVERYONE had equal rights and protections under the LAW of this country.
The 2008 Dream Team: Pace-Dobson (Queer Sighted)
Oct 10th 3:36 PM: s.d. - I should have said "benign" rather than irrelevant. My warning was to the many of us who have a sound mind, and may not believe that someone like Dobson matters in the larger scheme. After seeing the documentary and reading so much on various blogs, I now realize just how extensive is Dobson's reach in our society, and that scares the hell out of me.
The 2008 Dream Team: Pace-Dobson (Queer Sighted)
Oct 10th 10:43 AM: I urge EVERYONE to see the new documentary film, "For The Bible Tells Me So" about the Christian right and homosexuality. It is a brilliant film in its exploration of just what the bible says, and how we interpret various passages, with some very brave people in front of the camera. I cried my eyes out when I saw it last week. Don't think for a second that James Dobson is irrelevant.
